North Miami is about 9 miles southeast of us, comfortably inside the ring we work most weekends. Bar, coolers, ice and serveware travel the same way to every event in that ring, so what lands in North Miami is the same kit that lands anywhere else on the list.
Biscayne Park starts under a mile from North Miami, with Miami Shores and El Portal not much further out. This is one of the tightly packed corners of the county, and it shows up in the practical details — narrow streets, shared parking, a load-in that has to be pointed at the right door.
North Miami is a municipality in its own right rather than a district of somewhere larger, and that matters more than people expect — a residential street here can have its own parking rules and its own opinion on how late a party runs. Setup begins about 1 hour ahead of your start time. We would always rather walk into an empty room than a full one, so tell us the earliest your venue will let us in and we will usually take it.

Two things, ideally before the day rather than on it: where the truck can stop, and which door the bar comes through. A long carry is fine when we know about it and a scramble when we do not.
We will also ask what surface the bar is going on and whether there is cover, because both change how we build it.
