El Portal, specifically
El Portal, from our side of the bar
From our Hialeah base, El Portal is about 10 miles southeast — far enough that we write the drive into the run sheet, close enough that it never becomes the interesting part of the day. The crew leaves with time in hand and the bar is standing well before your first guest is.
You are under a mile from Miami Shores here, and Biscayne Park and North Miami sit just past it. In a cluster this dense the address alone rarely tells us where to unload, so we ask which entrance is ours and we take the answer seriously.
El Portal is its own city, with its own view on noise, parking and what may be put up in a public space. We are not your permitting office, but we have set up in enough of them to know the questions worth asking early: where the truck can stand, how late music can run, and whether the venue or the city holds the answer.
The crew is on site around 1 hour before service starts, and a run of about 10 miles leaves margin enough to build the bar properly rather than quickly: ice in the coolers, garnish cut, surfaces wiped, everything standing before your first guest sees any of it.
Dates in El Portal are held with a 25% deposit and can be moved free of charge up to 48 hours before the event. Weekend dates go first, which is the only honest reason to book early rather than a sales one.
51% of the bartending quotes we have priced include ice from us. It is the add-on people forget until the week of, and the one that is genuinely awkward to solve yourself on the morning of a El Portal event.
How far are you from El Portal?
Our yard is in Hialeah, about 10 miles from El Portal as the map measures it. That is separation rather than a drive time — the route matters more than the distance around here — but it gives you the shape of it.
It makes no difference to the rate. Bartending is $85/hour with a 3-hour minimum across the whole service area.
Do you need anything from my El Portal venue?
Two things, ideally before the day rather than on it: where the truck can stop, and which door the bar comes through. A long carry is fine when we know about it and a scramble when we do not.
We will also ask what surface the bar is going on and whether there is cover, because both change how we build it.
How many bartenders will I need in El Portal?
It follows the guest count and how long the bar is open more than anything else, and the wizard on this page sizes it as you fill it in.
For a sense of scale: half the bartending quotes we write are for 50 guests or fewer, which is usually one bartender working steadily rather than two standing idle.
How do I book a date in El Portal?
Price it in the wizard on this page, then hold the date with a 25% deposit. The balance falls due 48 hours before the event.
The deposit stays fully refundable until 7 days out, and the date can be moved free of charge up to 48 hours before it.
