Opa-locka is about 5 miles southeast of us, comfortably inside the ring we work most weekends. Bar, coolers, ice and serveware travel the same way to every event in that ring, so what lands in Opa-locka is the same kit that lands anywhere else on the list.
Opa-locka has a little room around it — about 3 miles to Miami Gardens, then Hialeah and Miami Lakes. Worth mentioning because guests traveling between those points arrive more staggered here, which is gentler on the bar but harder on a tight timeline.
Opa-locka sets its own rules on the things that touch an event: noise after a certain hour, what may go up in a public space, whether a park needs booking. None of that changes the bar we build. All of it changes the schedule we build it to, so the earlier you know your constraints the better we fit inside them.
We plan to be there about 1 hour before service. Breakdown runs the same way in reverse: the bar comes down, the glassware and coolers go back on the truck, and the space is left as we found it — which, with about 5 miles still to drive home, is still not something we rush.

Yes, and most of what we do is outdoors. Tell us what the ground is like and whether there is shade — a bar on grass and a bar on a patio are set up differently, and we would much rather know beforehand.
