There is about 17 miles between our loading bay and South Miami, heading south. On runs this length we load the night before wherever we can, so the morning is a drive and a setup rather than a scramble, and we arrive with the margin a long run actually needs.
Glenvar Heights starts about a mile from South Miami, with Coral Gables and Kendall not much further out. This is one of the tightly packed corners of the county, and it shows up in the practical details — narrow streets, shared parking, a load-in that has to be pointed at the right door.
South Miami is its own city, with its own view on noise, parking and what may be put up in a public space. We are not your permitting office, but we have set up in enough of them to know the questions worth asking early: where the truck can stand, how late music can run, and whether the venue or the city holds the answer.
