Longer than most events book. 74% of the bartending we've priced ran exactly four hours and 4 hours is the median — and a wedding is the event that breaks that number. Cocktail hour, dinner and dancing rarely fit inside it, and the hour people regret cutting is the last one. Price your real timeline rather than the number a friend paid for a birthday. If your reception genuinely ends at ten, four hours is right and you shouldn't pay for five.
